Told me I have 6 cavities and would cost $180 without insurance a tooth. Went to my family dentist for a second opinion to find out I have zero cavities.

The doctor doesn't have any patience. She only wants to have everything done within minutes. And the worst thing is that she asked for more money to complete my treatment after I started.
About Hygienist: I saw some staff sort out drill parts without gloves. So I worry about their hygiene.

I was able to get an appointment pretty easily. Dr. Leavitt seemed nice, but was also a bit patronizing when I tried to ask questions. She didn't like questions, and never gave satisfactory answers to my questions. I'm not confident in her competence. I had a bit of pain for the next few weeks, and six months later, my filling fell out. I'm looking for a new dentist!

Dr. Leavitt is the fourth dentist I've tried in Philadelphia, but the first one I stuck with (for 4 years now). She's great at handling dental anxiety, she does all my cleanings herself, and she's very good at what she does. The front office staff is almost always on the ball.

Very pleasant experience, cheerful front desk personnel,
friendly assistants and hygienists. Dr Leavitt has the best chair-side manner putting me completely at ease.
