Dr. Deutsch is clearly an expert in his field. He is very patient, and very concerned about my comfort. He was able to see me on the same day that I called to perform a root canal.
I know this doctor: 3 months

I've had many dentists. Dr. Deutsch retreated a root canal for me which had been a problem. He is first rate - he has developed equipment, techniques.

Dr. Deutsch saw me immediatly when I called and told the office the pain I was in. He did 2 root canals with ease and skill and it was PAINLESS! I couldnt believe how confident and at ease I felt with him after we had just met. If you are unfortunate enough to need a root canal... go to Dr. Deutsch.

Dr. Deutsch performed a tricky root canal on a wisdom tooth which three other dentists felt was beyond them. The work was executed flawlessly and he saved the tooth. He had great hands and a high level of concentration. I believe he is either the best in the city or one of the best in the city.
He was also fantastic in pain management, delivering the immortal line "When I go in there, you should not feel anything at all". He layered on more and more anesthetic, and waited patiently for it to take effect.

I had the unique experience of having root canal on 911 (9/11/01). I was his first and only patient that day (all other patients were cancelled). Dr. Deutsch had a TV monitor for patients running CNN, so I saw the 911 events real time. Dr. Deutsch was concerned with the unfolding events, but amazingly was undistracted in his work and completed the procedure.
As far as his work, he has pioneered many techniques - uses microscopes. He is reputed to be one of the best endodontists in the city. In a practice with 4 others - the office specializes in root canals.
He is a warm human being with special care to make the entire procedure painless. I would highly recommend him to get the job done right the first time. Use a specialist. Root canals are tricky procedures and require experience and meticulous technique to insure no future problems - no place to shop price or experiment.
